New York & New England Section
Established on December 16th, 1954, the New York & New England SPE Section is one of the oldest in existence.
Where do our section members live?
Our section is unique in our employment and company profile as our members tend to skew more towards research, consulting, software, individual practitioners, and those in other energy sectors.
After the biggest industry recession in decades, we have seen a slight decline in membership as many have chosen to allow their memberships to lapse not only in our section but across the globe. Our section has had a 13% YOY reduction in overall memberships.
On the positive side, our section has seen a 30% increase since January 2017 as we seek to retain all members from 2016. This appears to be largely expired members renewing as we continue to strive in offering events that are informative and enjoyable for all.
Going forward, we hope that you feel our section provides a great value locally while being part of the SPE's global mission which is detailed below.
