Description

Abstract
Geothermal energy is hot! Various projects are currently being developed in the Netherlands at different locations. After the successful completion of projects in Bleiswijk, Pijnacker and The Hague, another project is on-going in Honselersdijk. Increasing oil and gas prizes make the development of geothermal energy attractive, especially to high end users like greenhouses.
The development of geothermal energy projects requires technologies that are standard used in the traditional oil and gas industry. The main difference is that instead of looking for hydrocarbons the search is now for hot water. The up-coming presentation will give an overview of the methods how to explore and operate geothermal energy.
